Standard interfaces to common identity management, HR systems and directory services are available off the shelves. The OCMS transmits user authorizations to connected systems such as access control, time and attendance, cashless vending, follow-me-printing, locker management etc.

The OCMS can be used as an integration platform across various access control systems. How are we achieving this:

  • The ID-ware Rule Engine as part of OCMS is a sophisticated Expert System. It is used for the automatic evaluation and granting of authorizations based on business rules. As part of the execution of the Rule Engine, the rules are taken evaluated for the relevant subjects and personal data records. As a result, the usually defined access authorizations (access templates) are fully automated assigned or withdrawn to the respective subjects and persons directly. The user is fully in control without making mistakes.
  • The ID-ware workflow engine as part of the OCMS allows the customer-specific definition of request and approval processes for access authorizations. In contrast to the rule engine, the assignment or withdrawal of access permissions is initiated through the request process by any user. With the flexible workflow engine, all administrative processes are seamlessly mapped in the system. The workflow engine has a graphical user interface with which the workflows can be defined easily based upon standard BPMN.
  • The ID-ware user self-service allows actively integrates different user groups in the process. Self-service users are able to manage their own access requests and their user data. For example, photos can be uploaded or broken or lost IDs reported, as well as a new ID card or additional permissions are requested. Asset owners can see at a glance who has access to their area of responsibility and for what reason. Access authorizations can be revoked immediately if necessary.
