OmniCard joins ID-ware Group

Following the acquisition of Netherlands-based OmniCard B.V. by ID-ware Group, both companies are looking forward to their first joint business year.

Huub van der Boom, CEO of OmniCard: ”Since the foundation of OmniCard BV in 2007, my brother Henk van der Boom (major shareholder and CEO of OmniCard) and Ed Dijkers (co-shareholder and Director of Sales) have brought OmniCard to where it is today. . A flourishing company with a permanent base of highly committed employees and customers. Henk had been looking for a successor for some time so that he could work less. Unfortunately, Henk passed away in February 2021, after a short illness. Together with Ed Dijkers, we looked at the best choice for OmniCard in order to give shape not only to the continuity, but also to the company's growth strategy in the best possible way. The acquisition of ID-ware has been a well-considered decision for OmniCard and for ID-ware.”

The management of OmniCard will be formed by Ed Dijkers and Bernd Dieckmann (CEO ID-ware). The management team of OmniCard is also supplemented by Sebastian Soentpiet.
